In fall 2016, Oat & Mill founder Candace Tierney was presented with the Premier’s Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence. Oat & Mill was honoured as a Regional Award Winner for 2016.
The Premier's Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence recognizes the innovative contributions of producers, processors, agri-food organizations and rural communities in Ontario. Their innovations improve existing products, create new jobs and grow Ontario's economy.
“Oats are my calling and ice cream is my obsession, so it’s gratifying to be recognized by the Ontario government for Oat & Mill’s use of oats in our products,” Candace says.
Oat & Mill uses only 100% gluten-free certified oats as the base of their “like ice cream but made from oats” frozen products.
